Movin’ out

Over the last few days, I’ve been looking at some apartments around where I work. This has been made mildly difficult by the generally high rent prices in the area, but I did manage to find a couple in my price range. A couple days ago, I said yes to a two-bedroom apartment for a bit under $700 a month. This is a better deal than I ever expected – and I could have gotten one cheaper, but there are more upsides to this one.

Example: I can bicycle to work. Seriously. I will be living less than two miles from work. The other ones were way far away, comparatively speaking.

Example: I have a guest room. The cheaper ones were 1 bedroom. I will be able to host people at my apartment. (If you want to come visit, poke me about it first, though!)

As much as I have loved living with family for the last couple of months, it will be nice to live independently again. After doing so for a year, I’ve kind of missed it. I’ll be moving in at the end of the month. I can’t believe it’s that soon!
